CE - 'When you're Close to me'

This is my entry for the contest made. The creators of the contest and its judges are =Poke-Yoshi and ~Dragon-Yoshi61

Rules were to create a piece of art inspired by one of the songs listed in the journal. I chose On Melancholy Hill - Gorillaz - Plastic Beach for my entry.

I didn't quite get the message of the song entirely but sometimes music does not inspire you by its lyrics but by its melody and instruments used. This song is very peaceful. Whenever I listen to it, my mind kind of relaxes and goes into a whole different status. This, combined by the lyrics, (especially one part), made me imagine a very soothing scene with two lovers. But not only that, they would be separate. One of them should be remembering the other, and the characters I used were simply because I remembered ~Dragon-Yoshi61 while listening to this song; he's a big fan of Gorillaz.
I couldn't stop listening to this music while drawing this. Out of every listed song I found this one the most inspiring one. It's so... Soothing, relaxing, I don't know how to explain this. I'm very confusing sometimes xD

In this scene we can see Stealthy standing on top of a hill, remembering with melancholy someone he deeply loves (spoilers? xD) Almari is actually dead in the present, still Stealhty remembers her and loves her deep in his heart. Reminiscence of what could have been his family is all what happens in his mind on that scene I drew. Hence the little tear there I added. I think I couldn't have done anything better than this, I was actually very pleased with the idea I came up with, and so I decided to draw it.

The part of the lyrics in which I got very inspired with was:

" 'Cus you are my medicine when you're close to me" ... Ok that was REALLY inspiring. Don't get why? Well I don't think you'd ever get it if I tried to explain you xD It's my imagination after all xD My mind is very complex when it comes to imagination xD Others might get it as I If so, then you'd understand the message of the drawing completely

Ok now to the drawing as whole, I really don't know what to say xD I think I did a regularly nice job with the sky xD I kind of derped a little with the clouds. I did my best, really xD
I think no one has ever seen that orange dragoness before. As I said previously, she is Almari. A wingless, orange dragoness How do I know her physical appearance? Well Jared told me about her looks so I did my best to draw her accordingly x3 She was really fun to draw and I must admit she is quite beautiful Jared
Notice to those who don't understand why she is floating without wings: she's not floating. xD That actual image is product of Stealhty's imagination
